About Tampa Bay Plumbers

Tampa Bay Plumbers is a family run plumbing and septic contractor working out of Johns Road in Tampa. We cover the city and the surrounding Hillsborough County area, residential and commercial, and the phone is answered every hour of every day.

The work runs from a single blocked toilet through to replacing a drain field or repiping a whole house. Most of it is unglamorous and most of it happens on somebody's worst day of the month, which shapes how we go about it.

Two trades, which is unusual here

We hold Florida Certified Plumbing Contractor license CFC1425985 and we run septic as a full service line rather than something we subcontract. That combination is rare in this market. Most Tampa plumbers won't touch septic, and most septic companies don't do general plumbing.

It matters on the days when a backed up toilet turns out to be a full tank, or when a soggy patch in the yard turns out to be a service line rather than a drain field. One company works it out and one company fixes it.

How we price and how we talk about it

We diagnose before we quote, and you get the price and what it covers before anyone starts. If a repair will hold and a replacement isn't necessary yet, we say so. If a cheaper option exists and it's genuinely worth trying, we'll tell you. And if we think the cheaper option will just delay the real repair by a season, we'll tell you that too, because finding out the hard way costs you twice.

Financing is available on the larger jobs. Drain field replacements, repipes and sewer work are rarely planned expenses, and that's exactly what it exists for.

On response times

We won't publish a number. Plenty of companies advertise a guarantee on how fast they turn up, and we think that's a promise made to win the call rather than one made to be kept. Traffic, time of day, how many emergencies are already running and where our crews actually are all decide it.

What we will do is tell you honestly when we can be there when you call, and tell you if somebody else could get to you sooner. That's a less impressive sentence and a more useful one.
